We love to craft what you crave!
Founded by former apparel executive Gary Neale-May in 2004, Snakatak is committed to handcrafting the tastiest popcorn flavours for our customers. Our skilled team of popcorn blenders, packers, and deliverers do it all from our “artisan cookery” in Durban.
You’ll find Snakatak colleagues hard at work air-popping South African grown corn that’s brought straight to our artisanal “popperator” from the rich farmlands of the Free State. Our nutritious “butterfly” corn kernels create tender and shapely flakes of popped corn, and we only use the best palm oil, corn varietals, and ingredients. Our corn is GMO-free, rich in dietary fibre and antioxidants, and our products are certified Halaal by the South African National Halaal Authority.
There are now over 400 retailers, merchants, and produce stands selling Snakatak products. We produce thousands of packets a day, and you’ll find us prominently displayed in grocery outlets, trading stores, kiosks, produce stands, biltong shops, SPARs, Food Lover’s Market, and family PicknPays, stretching from the coast of KwaZulu-Natal to the heartland of Gauteng.
